She represents health care clients in complex business transactions and in navigating the statutory and regulatory issues affecting healthcare professionals, including the application and compliance with Federal and State fraud and anti-kickback, fee splitting, false claims, corporate practice of medicine regulations and licensure and certificate of need requirements.

Her clients include large physician practices, multi-specialty groups, diagnostic centers, managed care entities, pharmaceutical companies, telemedicine providers and medical device manufacturers.

Additionally, Shari works with clients in a wide array of industries to ensure compliance with requirements relating to the collection, retention, use and protection of personally identifiable or confidential information, including customer data, medical records, employee records and proprietary corporate information.   She has expertise in privacy and data security laws—including U.S. federal laws (HIPAA, GLB, CAN-SPAM, Do-Not-Call, Computer Fraud and Abuse Act) and state privacy, breach notification and related statutes.

Prior to joining Tenzer and Lunin, Shari was in house counsel at a large healthcare payer audit organization and a government policy research organization.  Prior to that, she was a partner for 11 years at a medium sized New York law firm.
